Poem: Dear Santa…

Standard

I'm writing a letter this Christmas time
I can't say that I don't have a single regret
Can't say there was a reason or rhyme
But there is this one thing I can't forget

Dear Santa, please, please
Get your elves together and use your expertise
To bring me the only thing that's on my list
The one I once kissed
The one I'm starting to miss
I see the old photos and I start to reminisce
Over all the old times we spent together
We said we would be forever
But you moved on
So I had to find somewhere else to belong
Now I'm listening to our song
And I know it heart that's my home
To any other I would only be on loan
Santa take me back to the one I really need
And I'll be happier than I have ever been before, guaranteed

I'm asking for my one wish
To bring me the one I really miss
Santa, do this for me,
Please?

Poem: Won’t Bring You Back

Standard

Falling so hard to the ground
It’s a wonder your soul can still be found
Gliding to the sky
Your angel wings take you so high
I have a wish, only one request
It’s probably not for the best
But it’s my only request, my only hope
The only way for me to be able to cope
All I need is to be able to see your face again
Your whole life has disappeared down the drain
All because of someone’s terrible crime
They might be behind bars doing time
But that won’t bring you back

Poem: Words For A Mother

Standard

Everything that I am
Everything that I will be
Everything that I have been
I because of a mother’s love deep within
Teaching me everything
Telling me to make the most of what I have
A mother, daughter bond,
So strong
An unbreakable love
A guiding angel sent from the skies above
If ever I’m down
You always find a way to make me smile
Never have you let me down
So many memories to make me smile every once in a while
Never would there be a way
To thank you for what you have done for me
So these few words are a way to soy,
A thank you for the love you have given me,
The things you have taught me,
And the mother you are to me

Has helped me become who I am today
