Standard
You might be the wrong lover
Maybe I should look for another
I know you feel the same
It in the way you say my name
And how you look around the room
Trying to find a love to consume,
All of you
You need to feel that longing
Need to feel that sense of belonging

You might blame this on me
But darling I can see
The doubt in your eyes
When you say those lies
You don't even believe yourself
So maybe, it's time that we put this love back on the self

But now that I have, I want it to last

Poem: I Had Him First

Standard
I might not have a lot of money
And I might just be another thing for you to roll your eyes at hunny
At least I'm not a drama queen, playing at being an actress
Known for the things I do between the sheets, on the mattress
Maybe it's time for you to keep in mind
That you don't always get to keep what you find
I'm not going to start throwing around accusations and calling you names
But I'm making it clear, I won't be playing any games
Just because you hate me
Doesn't mean you get to take the first thing your eyes see
They say karma's a bitch, so I guess you've found your match
Didn't your mummy ever tell you it's rude to snatch
See I had him first
You might have your act fully rehearsed
Don't worry you might get your debut performance today
But I'll get my revenge one day some way

Poem: Used To Be

Standard
It's kind of crazy
How I used to be your lady
I still remember your birthday
And the way you used to lay
With me at night

How did we come to this
Defined by something we can't put right
Talking about the things we'll miss
Just give me one more kiss
Something to hold on to
Did I tell you that I still love you

Walking away isn't something I want to do
Don't get me wrong
I know together we don't belong
But if I could
Then I would
Relive ever memory that we made
Just so that it doesn't fade

Dear Mum, I'm writing you this letter
To show you that I can be better
You've always been my best friend
The best angel god could send
You brought me into this world 18 years ago
And have since shown me how to grow
You've always been the best mother to me
And helped me to discover who to be
Whenever I've been scared
You've always been there to show you've cared
Everyday of my life, I'll dedicate to you
To thank you for all the things you do
I just want to make you proud and that's why I
Never want to see you cry
And why I'm always willing to try
To do the best I can do
Because I know if I get stuck along the way
It's you that I can come to
Whether I'm on the right path, or if I stray
You'll be with me every step of the way

You'll always be my mum and best friend
With each other until the bitter end
I love you
And all of the things you do
